Chocolate Dipped Pretzels

I feel like I look forward to the holidays all year and when they finally arrive, they come and go way too quickly. This year I'm trying to savor the holiday season and celebrate all that it has to offer. We went to our new friends' home for dinner in Silverlake this weekend and I thought it would be fun to make them a sweet treat and wrap it up nicely as a thank you. I made milk and white chocolate dipped pretzels with red and green sprinkles, put them in a snowflake jar and finished it off with a ribbon and handmade card.


You'll need: 1 bag each of pretzel rods, milk chocolate chips and white chocolate chips plus red and green sugar or festive sprinkles.


Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave on medium power for 3 minutes or however long it takes to make the chocolate soft so it looks like this. Stir until smooth.


Dip the rods one-by-one in the chocolate and place them on a plate to dry. Sprinkle with red and green sugar and turn once to coat both sides. If the rods are too tall to fit into the jar, break off a small part and coat the broken side with chocolate.


Leave them out to dry for several hours or place them in the fridge if you're pressed for time. Wrap up in a pretty jar and attach a handmade tag. Yum!

  1. I make these around the 4th of july with white chocolate and red and blue sprinkles. Easy and delicious.
